Mind showing us how you draw skulls/skeletal characters?

Heya Anon, this is a good question because I've never actually thought about it, and I'm pretty inconsistent with them haha

I have different styles that I fluctuate through, depending on how serious I am about the project: Doodle (Seen above) Polished (The Cover Redraws) and a secret third option thats kinda halfway between the two I guess (the difference is usually the nasal cavity and teeth) Soooo

The Short answer: Trial and error, the 'delete all' button, spite, and the magic of bullshittery. In all honesty for every 'good' skull I come up with, there were like nineteen scrapped drafts and probably some laying on the floor in frustration xD

The Long answer:

Overall Steps-

Usually I start with either the nasal cavity or the cheekbones first

Jawbones before the overall skull shape

eye sockets are either the second step of the second to last

teeth are almost always last

Here's a really bad timelapse of just me doodlin skulls because tbh trying to explain is much harder than just.. showing you. This video is sped up x5, these four skulls took me about 8 minutes.

It's also worth noting that I personally change skulls depending on the character.

I usually give Skulduggery Pleasant very square aspects, most notably his cheekbones and the shape of his head. He also has a very distinct nasal cavity, almost lobsided.

Aztec on the other hand - aside from being blue - has more rounded aspects, with a nasal cavity resembling an upside down heart, and a more rounded head.

Here is a mass attack I did for Art Fight this year. I'll point out unique differences:

One last trick up my sleeve if I get really stuck (because honestly sometimes you just Can't Do It and thats ok) This is Obby, a volcanic rock skull my father got for me in Mexico :]

He sits on my bookshelf (next to Rosa and Tiny the Duck) and in case of emergencies I can angle him however I need, take a picture (optional) and use him as a reference for my art. I usually do this when I want a skull facing alllmost sideways but not quite, as that's the most difficult orientation for me. - Obviously gotta use him with a grain of salt because as you can see he isn't anatomically accurate but its a good base

And remember! Getting caught with human remains is generally frowned upon! Find a good hiding spot :]

What actually is the plan though? What does cdream want to to? Is it to reset the server, then wouldn't he not want to lose his memories

,,, i honestly have no idea what post of mine you might be responding to. tbh "what is the plan" is never a question we got answered in full, though i've spitballed my way through a few theories based on his ramblings in No Way Home -- i'll throw a link here and here even though i haven't read this post in months and have no idea how much of it i actually stand by at this point, tbh. i've also written up stuff on how whether or not the actual plan did involve killing everyone who was going to go against them (bc it's a little unclear how much of that is a show for Tommy and how much of that is truth based on the balance we know exists from XD as well), his actions don't seem to line up with his stated intent here. It does seem like they made a degree of discovery regarding the cycles/resets in the server, but it's kind of unclear how much they actually knew about the resets and what their course of action was going to be regarding them (did they want to trigger a reset or stop one from occurring, for example, because deaths are cited both as a reason why god is going to end the world by c!Dream and deaths are also cited as being needed to keep the balance intact. Dream says they need a reset, but also says that he wants to stop XD from making it so that the world ends.) c!Dream's actual desire has been pretty clear from the beginning--people living together in peace, as he's stated multiple times from the beginning and a lot of emphasis is put on with the last stream when c!Tommy realizes that what c!Dream wants is a simple life with his friends, just like he does, and c!Dream talks about how everyone can be immortal together and not worry about anything anymore--etc etc, but as for what the actual concrete plan was that c!Dream and c!Punz might've had when it comes to the supernatural side of things and the resets, etc, there's no one answer that's immediately apparent from the text.

as for the second part of your ask...look, I mean, yeah, sure, I'm guessing c!Dream (if he wants to reset the server and start over in peace) wouldn't want to lose his memories, of course. there's a chance that his plan was along the lines of resetting the server one last time and then, idfk, killing god, in my opinion. at the same time, though, while we don't have any super concrete proof, i do think it's worth mentioning that c!Dream was throwing up every kind of crazy death flag possible for the entirety of the finale streams, his actual death notwithstanding. Talking about dying a hero, death by suicide, the emphasis on Tommy's tower, if I have to sacrifice myself and everything I love, the fact that c!Tommy's entire final plea literally amounts to "holy shit you lived before you loved to live you can keep living again" and when we talk about c!Dream's "tower moment" and "talking him off the edge" i do very much mean talking him off the edge of a building he seemed a half-step away from toppling over in very much not the moral sense, and the entirety of the snake speech and put me down...

...look, I just don't know how much this guy, subconsciously or otherwise, even thought he was going to make it to the end of his plan.

Bird Hashira anon again. Idk if I'm ever gonna post this story but I thought you might be interested in just some random fun tidbits I have about this character

Pre hashira

He is really good at hiding, like most of his kills involve demons who didn't even know he was there.

After a couple years in the corps OC basically just assigned himself the recon aspect of the hashiras roles. Just cause he was good at it

Kagaya noticed that he was pretty good at the whole information gathering aspect and just started officially sending him to do that shit. It really helped cut back on unnecessary deaths of lower ranked slayers.

Usually he just responds with a ‘yeah this one was p fucked. It's been dealt w ✌️’

Occasionally sends a ‘please send someone competent or I'm going to die 🙂’

This is how he has met a handful of present and future hashira.

When he met Giyuu, he realized that the man is as awkward as him (but in a different way) and declared him a friend. He does not care if Giyuu agrees to this.

Whilst both of them will just walk away from awkward/unwanted conversations the key difference is OC will just outright say ‘i don't like this conversation, goodbye!’

Giyuu is very stressed because OC likes to drop out of the sky like an actual bird except he can't actually fly???

Kagaya has given him a little cottage that attached to wherever unassigned (and Injured/sick crows) hang out. I call it the Avery.

He spends his free time hanging out and gossiping with the crows. He knows waaaaaay to much about the rest of the corps.

Post Hashira

He technically didn't kill the lower moon himself, the sunrise did. So there is some debate over whether or not that should count

It's a pretty even split on who is for and who is against.

Truly a bewildering moment to all present when Giyuu, Obanai and Sanemi were all on the no side of things. Those two have never agreed with Giyuu once in their life.

Later someone tells OC Giyuu voted no and he is like ‘lmao that's fair, our last joint mission was a complete disaster!’

Shinobu terrifies him but in like… a positive way. He thinks it's too bad that their fighting styles don't compliment each other very well.

By the time cannon starts he is the second shortest hashira (by like half an inch, it's truly devastating the day Muichiro surpasses him)

Also thinking about the Tanjiro incident and imagining Obanai and OC furiously competing for the one well placed tree. Because they can't both be in it??? ‘Im the BIRD Hashira! Go lie on a rock or something!!!’

He also has a tragic backstory ™ but like that's less fun than all of this tbh so I'll leave that be lmao

I love Giyu being friends with your OC except he wasn’t informed about it, basically he isn’t aware himself that he is his friend. I feel like the closest they have gotten to friendship activities is either silently eating soba noodles side by side and slaying demons together. Maybe it could be like a known thing that your OC sends a complaint every time they partner up with someone, but never sent one out about Giyu or Obanai (Obanai was the love interest, right? My memory is terrible XD)

Also, love the idea of Obanai and your OC arguing about who gets to sit in trees. Obanai would be very stubborn about giving his spot up and may need some persuasion, maybe trading good missions for a month for a month’s worth of tree-owning. Or the tree is treated like a child of a divorce, for one week, it’s in the OCs possession and in the other in Obanai’s. Although they don’t get to use those privileges often since it’s not every day that Kagaya gets the hashira together for a meeting.

Thank you for sharing this— I like reading about OCs people use! I’m not sure if this was a self-insert or just an OC, if you mentioned it before I probably forgot, but I like the idea of getting to know how people imagine themselves in their favourite media or work of fiction. I sometimes wonder what you all imagine when I write mine :P

I'm finally catching up on tag games! Thanks both @tildeathiwillwrite and @illarian-rambling for the tags! I'll do both here if that's okay!

@tildeathiwillwrite's oc: Hector Epsilona is Caenum's resident Watcher (which is a detective/bodyguard/mercenary-type job). He knows the law (and its loopholes) very well, and uses both extensively, and enjoys a small amount of freedom to operate outside the law if he sees fit. He is extremely protective of and attached to those he cares about, especially his apprentice, Luc. He is generally polite, if a bit stern, and is always looking for a way to turn something into a lesson. I used the Wheel again (it's a brilliant idea!) and got Sophie from my MG werewolf WIP

My OC: Sophie Beatrice Larsen is a 12 years old and is a sixth grader at Forest Hills Elementary. She's 100% in her "weird 12 year old" phase and embracing and loving every second of that. She firmly believes mythological creatures are real and will go to the ends of the earth to prove they actually exist. She's delightfully weird, incredibly passionate, and super curious. She's naturally good at tracking and investigating and looking for clues and asking questions. She's also got a large amount of sass for such a tiny human and won't just standby in the face of injustice. How I think they'd interact: Sophie would probably idolize Hector, tbh. I mean, he's a detective??? She's absolutely taking notes and copying every single thing he does so she can be a better detective too. Whether or not Hector is chill about this, I have no clue XD ---

@illarian-rambling's oc: OC: Elsind is a 20 year old changeling whose true form looks like a mannequin wrapped in raw meat with five fins ringing its face, and who can transition between a solid and liquid state. They change their disguise frequently (they can only do people, not animals) and use the pronouns of whatever face they’re wearing. As a person, Elsind is anxious, easily flustered, cries a lot, and is overall very kind-hearted, despite working as an assassin for a rebel cell. She ended up in that line of work because she wants revenge for what the nobility of her home put her through - kidnapping her at thirteen to serve as a court freak. He thinks if he can assassinate his target, he can earn his courage back and be more than another discarded toy of the ruling class, even if the idea of killing someone makes him sick. Indeed, classism is where Elsind gets very passionate, as well as talking about romance novels. They long for love, even if they think no one would accept a changeling without a disguise. I would also say she’s chronically unlucky. If anyone is going to slip in the mud in his nice new dress, it’s Elsind. All I have written down on their character notes is “eager to please, easily overwhelmed, great combo of traits,” which is pretty much Elsind’s deal. The Wheel has chosen Lizzie--also from my MG werewolf WIP. I suppose it's appropriate that the best friends get chosen together (though for what it's worth, Sophie would be FASCINATED by Elsind and would beg for them to change their face and show her what his true form is and would 100% love her true form) My OC: Elizabeth Page (Lizzie) is also a 12 year old 6th grader at Forest Hills Elementary. She has pretty debilitating POTS symptoms and is often dizzy, fatigued, and in pain. She's incredibly loyal, loving, and kind. She really sees the best in people. She's also a werewolf. Because werewolves are so often depicted as monsters and were nearly hunted to extinction in the 1500s, it's against werewolf law to let nonwerewolves know to keep them safe. Lizzie adores Sophie and wants to help with the investigations but she's not allowed to tell and she spends the first chunk of the book terrified that Sophie won't accept her if she finds out the truth. How I think they'd interact: Listen. A huge proportion of my characters are shapeshifters in someway, so it's no surprise I got a shapeshifter when I pulled a character at random. But I think the fact the wheel pulled Lizzie to meet Elsind is a really good match. Lizzie's also incredibly anxious, kindhearted, and ALSO ready to seek revenge. A big plot point is that Sophie and Lizzie find a new kid who was just recently turned into a werewolf (Lizzie was born into a werewolf family), and Lizzie's ready to square up with whoever it was that attacked a 12 year old boy. So I think Lizzie and Elsind would probably definitely get along.

I'm nervous to tag people because I'm going to try to get through the rest of the tag games and I only have like 3 or 4 people I know are okay with tags and I don't really want to spam tag anyone, so... open tag?? (if you want to be tagged, please let me know!)

the visuals for Arcane are stunning, the characters and their relationships to each other are the best thing in my biased opinion. The plot can sometimes be a bit slow but it's such a back-on-back thing for heavy topics and tragic scenes that it acts as a good buffer from the constant heartbreak xD There are like 8 main characters, but most of the focus goes to the two sisters, and even when the sisters aren't in a scene, every character carries a lot to the table. Sometimes there can be some hard cuts to another scene and other characters which may be a bit jarring and it feeds you a lot of information visually in a short amount of time so you really gotta pay attention, but that's the only criticism I can think of currently.

It's definitely worth a watch and it even got a second season now. The eps are coming out weekly. There are 9 eps for each season with each having about 40 mins, with season 2 already having released 3 eps. The trailer is a bit all over the place which makes it kinda non-spoilery but it shows off the visuals i was talking about xD

Back on the list it goes!

Tbh animation always takes me longer to watch because i need to concentrate. I can play a live action thing in the background and usually not miss anything impressive (got through like 7 seasons of stargate that way) but with animation i feel like theres no point if you aren’t drooling over the art the whole time

Okay I think I'm mostly recovered, so here's the good and bad abut my Disney Wish vacation~!

THE GOOD

Really most everything but I guess I'll do some specifics

We got Concierge service and while it's expensive, it is 100% worth the cost OMG. Just the way it cut the boarding/disembarking time and made it much easier was worth every penny. But the staff, the longue, the perks- all was just so great~!

The ship itself is HUGE and has so much to do~!

As I said, the Concierge Lounge, as is the adult area, is lovely. I got to be in an infinity pool for the first time and gosh what a view~!

The views. OMG the VIEW~!

It was my first time out of the USA (went to The Bahamas) and while the experience was... rough, we went to this conservation garden area and seeing all the animals was so great~!

Meeting so many characters! The only ones I met that I hadn't in DIsney World were Pluto, Daisy, Moana, and Rapunzel. But even meeting the ones I had before was still a joy. When I told Mickey that the last time I saw him was 20 years ago? He immediately gave me the biggest hug and it truly felt like I was a little girl again meeting him. I almost cried XD

The food was fabulous~! The restaurants were also nice. There was a Frozen-themed one, a Marvel-themed, and 1923 which had TOMS of memorabilia of several classic and modern animated features. There were cels, concept art (some even having the animators and Nine Old Men's notes on them~!), models, and other trinkets from the era, and needless to say, 1923 was my favorite~!

I went to two karaoke events. The first time I sang the Christina Aguilera version of Reflection, the second time I did For the First tIme in Forever. My mom said I got the best reception both times haha~! She also filmed them so once things are a bit more calmed down I'll see if she'll send me the vids so I can post them.

Overall, I had an absolutely fantastic time~!

The Bad

As I kind of alluded to, The Bahamas was... ehhh. The location of Nassau itself was lovely (busy, but so are most big cities), but our excursion? The disembarking was utterly chaotic and disorganized, we had to wait on a bus in the heat for like... half an hour, and the drive to and back was rocky. We got a tour and tbh, it was a pretty underwhelming tour. Needless to say, we're probably not going to do an excursion again if we go again.

We saw an Aladdin show. The show itself was fun, but it started I think close to an hour late. Obviously, stuff like this happens and these people are worked to death enough so I'm not mad about it, but it was annoying at the time.

The ship actually broke down while we were in The Bahamas. Apparently, they even had to fly some mechanics in to get it going again. As such we had to skip the cruise's island. Now this wasn't so bad for me and my mom since it let us do more on the ship, but it just sucks for the staff because SO many people were angry. Seriously if you go on one of these cruises, be nice to the crew and staff. They are trying their damnest and there are many things beyond their control. They get it hard enough from higher-ups, we don't need to make it worst for them.

DEAR LORD PARENTS NEED TO LEARN TO CONTROL THEIR KIDS. The number of young children running around, getting rough, not listening to their parents, etc was utterly unnecessary. I know it's a vacation but your jobs as parents don't stop. Mine would have NEVER let me act like that and they sure as Hell didn't in Disney World 20 years ago. Part of it may be because they were cooped up on a ship, but still.

It was really hard to find your way around the ship. The safety drill was also utterly chaotic. Not much else to say there.

So it wasn't flawless, but what vacation is? Despite those downer points, I overall had such a fantastic time. And due to the ship breaking down, we actually got a 20% discount for the next one that's valid up to 2025, which was a fair trade to me~! The dogs also did super well with their dog-sitter which is what I was most anxious about because Petey doesn't really like strangers (Dante loves everyone so I wasn't worried about him as much), but that makes us less worried about going anywhere. But yeah, I'm hoping to go on another cruise one of these days even if it isn't Disney cause it was such a lovely time~! It was my first time on a ship and was something I'd always wanted to do and I loved it~! But I am glad to be home with my dogs and cat haha.

Info: Those are none less than 1.278 words, its 4 a.m and therefore it probably doesn’t make a lot of sense :’’’) BUT FUCK DID I ENJOY WRITING THIS. It probably can’t be truly seen as a ‘corrupted’ version of Miran - it’s more a corrupted life the sisters would lead?

It definitely is something I’d like to discover more because, oh my gosh xD I got a bit inspired by how Daichi got ‘abandoned’ by the family tbh. Just that it would happen in a different way there? There would be just so much to explain, so much to discover and aaaah. I can’t believe I had never gotten this idea before for them???

Anyway, I’m super proud of it, even though it became a half drabble rather than an RP reply ( and I’m super sorry for that xD ). I’m also sorry for Strelitzia’s explanation having been so brief ; u ; MIRAN AND I LOVE HER A LOT.

Eerie quiet in the  heart of Yokohama, was a hotel rumored to lay. One, only few got in - but even fewer got out. Most of those employed in within those walls, colored in a pure white and rich of decorations in golden colors knew who they worked for. Knew the man, who had them employed, but now lived with his wife on the other side of the sea. Little did they know however, why they were here. Who it was, they brought food and tea to. Only ever had they heard the voice of a woman or a child, another girl, via their phones they were given for this job. Those who were harbored in the twelfth and last floor of this so overly luxury building. 

Their faces were to be seen only one painting, like as if made during old times, hung hidden and lonely in a room. Two females - a woman with long, golden locks cascading down to the middle of her back and her lips, colored in a soft shade of red, parted as if shock froze her doll-like, pale face. Azure eyes that inspired innocence and purity, but also curiosity, stared at those facing the portrait - only little of her body was to be seen, but there were hints of the dark blue dress she wore on the day this picture was created.

Her arms were protectively wrapped around another girl. Much younger and yet to those who would look closely, facial familiarity to the adult would become clear. Did the child however have ginger hair, that were just as long and the big, amber eyes of an innocent child.

And though it was obvious that this might could be the voices that whispered in hushed tones into the phones, nobody knew if they truly existed. Whatever they were alive or dead - or why they would never have come face to face with anyone for so many years. However. Some would say that those too were nothing but two unfortunate souls. Abandoned by those, who had set them into this world - abandoned for not matching their parent’s wishes.

Thrown away like broken toys in their imperfect perfection.

Guests only visited seldomly, randomly. At most it were people who found no shelter anymore during the busy times of the bustling city. Sometimes it also were curious or brave ones, who heard from gossips of the mysterious owners of this abandoned and yet odd lively building… and only those, who were chosen as trusted enough to be permitted - or rather forced - to work over night ever knew what would happen to those. 

Only those ever heard those light steps, that were gossiped about like a haunted tale, on long, carpeted corridors. Where windows were covered by thick curtains, banning every so dim light of the moon - as if one had feared somebody would lurk inside. Feared, that somebody would see, what was not meant to see.

Not seldom was the person to have visited found dead, once the first rays of the morning sun touched the city. Either perished in their room, or found bloodied on the highest floor, which guests were forbidden to enter - for obvious reasons. Still there were those who chose to be foolish. Those who paid no heeds to the quiet warnings of those people, who had worked for the family long enough to witness the many lives to enter - and the many corpses that were to be disposed.

Even though murder had happened within the building, there never had been the hint of a police found anywhere near the doors of the hotel and those who could talk, had vowed their secrecy. Even got bribed with a too little amount of money, by the Korean male with long, black hair and amber eyes just as the younger one of the females on the portrait, one could only guess that it might was their father - and therefore probably the only one who knew for sure, whatever was going on for real.

Trying to reach out had always resulted in the male covering himself in silence however. Not even losing a word to the easiest questions.

And so, another day had passed of trays once filled with plates of food, pots of tea and water and empty cups were once more carried emptily and used back to the lowest floor - the kitchens. Another day, on which the cruelty behind closed doors could have discovered, would one just have the courage to see what was wrong and right about those rumors. What was behind all those corpses, those dead guests, that might had looked so ‘innocently’ to those who did not understand.

This was just another night, in which Miran would run her fingers through the hair of her sister laying asleep in their bed. Prisoned in their own home, their own room, since so much time. Scorned by their blood for their differences, abandoned for being born with what was insulted as ‘witchcraft’ by those, elder than them. By those, who were aware of their existence and therefore tried to get rid of them as good as possible. Probably, so could the female only guess, to clean the name of their families and keep up their reputation.

What once felt to the blonde like being thrown into the fairy tale of the princess, Rapunzel, that was locked into her town, had become an unbearable fight and what little - or more like nobody - knew, was that all the young woman did, was to protect the lives of her sister and herself. Hadn’t it been just one time after all, that those so called ‘guests’ or ‘visitors’ from nowhere would suddenly stand at their bedside, with a weapon in one hand. Trying to assassinate one or both of them. Probably doing the dirty work for their family, most likely their parents, they didn’t want to do. To make the ‘mistakes’ none should ever know about disappear.

But she didn’t mind the blood that tainted her hands by now. If it was proof to their father, that their existence was dangerous, then so be it. Only too gladly would the older sister have shown him what his actions had driven them into. What it had done to her, after witnessing after the murder of their eldest brother in front of her very own eyes. How bitter the constant struggle had made her, to not end up like Sehun, who had only tried to protect his sisters that had meant everything to him, had taught her to survive - had inspired her to fight for her life, even if it would one day be only for Strelitzia’s sake or for the freedom of the girl.

It were steps from the distance, that caused Miran’s head to perk up. To watch, as a silhouette in the darkness of the rich decorated, but also slight deserted, room moved - forced the female to grab to the knife on the close nightstand. Unsure, how the stranger came in without her having realized. Would the door announce entrances with a loud squeak after all and with how high up they were, there were no other possibilities.

The blonde held her breath. Fearing, that one noise too much could alert the stranger too quick.

It would mean their end for sure. Would mean, that all she had fought for in this room she hadn’t been allowed to leave for such a long time would have gone to nothing. That she’d never see the outside again, she wished to see so eagerly. 

Her heartbeat quickened, her eyes showing nothing but hatred towards whoever had dared it to interrupt, whatever had promised to be a silent, peaceful night.

Hello again, it's the guy who wants to write you a gift, his first ever Sterek fic. I've decided once I post my 100th work on AO3 - I'm only 2 away - I'll attempt to write something decent. It won't compare to your work 😂, but I'll try to make it good. I should warn you though, I'm VERY GOOD at not finishing what I start. I'd say about three quarters of my works are WIPS. But I know you were excited about spawning more Sterek in the world, so I guess one chapter is better than nothing right? 😅 All I can do is try I guess... I just hope you like whatever I come up with. I currently have 6 outlined plots... I don't know which one to choose... No pressure to make the right choice... 😅 PS: one is actually finished, but it's based on that baseball gifset and whilst I love that gifset and wrote something inspired by it, the characters are too ooc and I want my first fic to feel more authentic, if you get what I mean? So yeah, that can be my second Sterek fic, assuming people want to read anything more of mine after the first fic. 😅

I AM SURE YOUR WRITING IS BEAUTIFUL, STOP THAT *smacks with newspaper* As long as you like what you’ve written and you had fun doing it, that is honestly the most important thing, so make sure you write with your own happiness in mind :) 

And don’t worry about WIPs and about not finishing. I honestly have so many WIPs that sit unfinished, people just don’t know about them because I only post completed works haha. I’m sure that you can finish something if you get inspired, but whether that happens in a week, a month, ten years, it doesn’t matter. And even if you never finish it, as long as you had fun telling the story you got out to the point it’s at, that’s what really matters :)

It's actually really easy! *^* The only thing is the hardener (which is mixed with the resin), it's toxic & flammable and it's better not work with it at home x)

The mixture is poured into cups and mixed with pigments (paints), then you just pour them onto wooden coasters and that's where the fun begins! ☆

You can 1) tilt it and mix the colors; 2) paint by hand with a stick; 3) blow it with a hair dryer XD Each option is beautiful & interesting in its own way (ㅅ´ ˘ `)♡

hello! i'm not sure if anyone's asked this yet but i recently got into twilight again and i'm really peeved by the way demetri is kind of 'undermined' in a way? and the way jasper is kinda overglorified too. like i get edward reads minds but demetri's probably had EXTENSIVE training, especially being besties with felix; they're like hitmen ffs (1/4)

and what are your thoughts on dem as a tracker? do you headcannon him as the GOAT of trackers or there could be another? and what about felix? is he like the GOAT of all the physically superior or is there something about him, maybe like an unconscious allure about him? (3/4)

Thank you so much for loving my Demetri! I feel like my headcanons for him are pretty different from most people's, so it's always nice when someone enjoys it.

I do think Demetri is the greatest tracker to ever live, at least in the last few thousand years for the Volturi to know about. James is really the only comparison that comes close in the saga (who knows what's going on with Alistair's gift). James's gift seems to be a combination of instinct and intelligence along with a great sense of smell... Demetri doesn't really need any of those things! Or at least, he's surpassed the need for them. His supernatural instinct as a human has sharpened into this psychic, almost telepathic ability to find literally anyone, anywhere, and his ability to track someone via the mind of a mere acquaintance is just mind-blowing. If he's ever met you, or even met someone who knows you, he will find you if he wants to. I don't know whether he operates more like a G.P.S. or a magnet (I assume both in tandem), but I imagine that from his perspective there's this whole world full of the minds he's catalogued and he can hone in on any one of them at any time. (So imagine how disturbed he was to run up against Bella's gift, especially when she spread her shield in BD and made all those other minds disappear!)

Demetri and Felix do make a great hit team, what with Demetri's ability to find literally anyone and Felix's skill in combat. They've probably trained to fight in tandem with each other. And their apparent friendship is actually pretty special, since in Volterra there's such a class distinction between gifted and ungifted. I don't primarily think of Demetri as a fighter (no details about that in canon, I don't think, and his gift wouldn't help) but like you said, he's been at this for a thousand years now. He's probably had every sort of training available to the Volturi, since his gift is an asset worth protecting at almost any cost.

Like Maria, the Illustrated Guide says Felix does not have a "quantifiable supernatural ability," so I guess that does leave a little wiggle room. (Maria seems to have a vague sort of Eleazar-type gift, after all, or at least very good instincts about a person's potential.) Felix's tenure is an interesting exception to the ungifted=temporary rule. Without or without an extra ability, I think he's charmed/fought his way to the top and has shown a strong ability to manage the other ungifted guards, so he's worth keeping too.

And having a gift isn't everything! Like you said, we tend to think of Jasper as being sooooo deadly in a fight, but in reality most of his combat experience is from fighting baby vampires, and his gift wouldn't even be all that useful in a complicated battle where his allies and enemies are all tangled up and moving every millisecond. He's deadly and experienced compared to the other Cullens and newbie werewolves. (I do think he's a formidable opponent when it's one on one, though, since he's probably able to use his gift more in that scenario.)

I'm not sure if you've reached the end of Second Meeting and if this is a spoiler--Demetri is still alive at the end of the fic, but he's... very broken. His loyalty has been patched up but it's so frayed and unpredictable. Aro and Caius were already wondering if it might be time to go tracker-shopping, and after his display in the final chapter, his life is definitely on the line. BUT you never know what could happen down the road... I would love for him to break free someday and make a life for himself. It'll take Aro and Caius a while (centuries?) to find anyone worthy of replacing him, so at least he's got time. (Chelsea would have to be neutralized somehow, so it's unlikely but... you never know what might happen.)

The irony is I can't even say I have a sure answer in most of these xD but I'll do my best to figure it out!

For Hotaru, her favorite aunt is certainly not in that list: it's Song! Yes, you heard it here first! *sobs* these two will have a very special bond for sure, fortunately we'll get to see a fair amount of it, so this is the one answer I am 100% sure of. Her favorite uncle would most likely be Rui Shi, unless there's any crazier developments when she grows older that might bring her closer to anyone else, but I honestly doubt it xD

Shun's favorite uncle... is Zuko. Haha. Yes. You heard it here first too x'D as you may imagine, both his parents will be very confused, while Zuko will be very flattered and happy to claim his nephew's attention considering that, well, his own daughter maaaaay just think Azula is the most epic human being in the world x'D it's an equal exchange, of sorts (?) But yeah, Shun really likes Zuko, 100% unironically, and always looks forward to meeting him. As for his favorite aunt... that's trickier xD I guess it could be Mai, seeing as Shun's best friend will be Mai's second son (... yes, another spoiler, you did ask for 'em, if unintentionally xD) and Shun might bond more with her than with others because of his friendship with her son.

Yuuna's favorite aunt... that's a big competition between Katara and Toph xD Toph suits Yuuna's bulldozing behavior, they're both pretty stubborn and unconventional, so they'll really like each other and I can see Toph encouraging Yuuna to be every bit as wild as she wants to be, 100% of the time. Katara and Yuuna bond a lot over bending, as Katara will be Yuuna's waterbending teacher, and Katara gets along fairly well with kids, so I can definitely see a good bond developing there. As for a favorite uncle for Yuuna... tbh, tricky stuff here xD she most likely will bond more with Rui Shi than with other potential uncle figures, so I suppose they'll end up loving each other by butting heads often (which, to be fair, is how Rui Shi wound up bonding with both of Yuuna's parents x'DDD), so it might be him, unless any potential future developments make me rethink this answer (?)

It's worth pointing out that the three kiddos will most likely have good relationships with all these adult figures they'll have in their lives -- even if they're not the favorite ones, it doesn't mean they won't get along. These are just the characters I can imagine working better with each of the kids, based on personality, interests and history, in Hotaru's particular case.

Is your warpriest link a constant thing? Does it ever fade into the background? I'm contemplating forming a second link, something happier than my copinglink, and I'm not sure how to tell when to tell when the line of a link vs a persona is crossed when not worn out of necessity.

And the original ask so I have it on hand. I did take a look at your original context, and if you're cool with it, I'll edit this post with a link for those who may find this is a useful answer and need that on hand. Otherwise, it'll stay a mystery.

But yes, it seems like my Sabe experiences would be a useful thing to talk about here. And in order to do that, I need to go over four things: who and what Sabe is, why he exists the way that he does, what that does for me, and lastly what I think he is in terms of terminology and why.

To start, here is his toyhou.se profile, if you want to read more about his actual story and thoughts and whatnot. But I doubt you'll have the necessary context for that, so let me go into it. RuneScape (RS) is one of the oldest MMORPGs in existence. WoW might be older but I doubt it. Basically it's a medieval magic fantasy that's very long running and you the player end up the World Guardian, aka the guy that stops the gods (who are very powerful folks who just don't die of natural causes and typically stand for some philosophy) from blowing the world up because Guthix, the dead god of balance, asked you to. Well, he voluntold you. And that makes you a major chess piece, Elder Gods get involved, it's a big mess.

But before all that happened, back in 2006 when I was introduced to the game and very shitty at it, well. I liked the lore insofar that I've always liked the lore, it was interesting and I liked thinking about it. I didn't have membership and I sucked at playing so I just read the wiki and the God Letters over and over and sometimes the Postbag from the Hedge. Alongside my two friends, we played at being children of the then-triad of main gods: Saradomin, Guthix, and Zamorak.

I liked Zamorak best, but I didn't think his ideas would be the best for society as a whole, so I ended up playing child of Guthix. Eventually we grew up and grew apart but every couple of years I'd go back to RuneScape, read the lore, settle on what choices I'd make if I could play, and think about being the player character. In 2010 I discovered a fic - dawn by khayr, it's on Ao3 and dA - about Iban, son of Zamorak, right around when I was reading Percy Jackson. Cue him showing up as a soulbond and an older brother figure and guiding me right up until the end of sixth grade. Iban got me through the ruthless bullying that would later set the stage for all my major suicidal-ideation and self-hatred for the entirety of high school: even then, I was more stable than I might've been otherwise, because he interfered.

Saradomin stands for strength through order. Procedures and law and diplomacy and war strategy. He was originally kind of a ripoff of the Christian god, but he's grown to be more of an order-over-peace character and is quite well-written. Guthix stands for strength through balance, and has been all over the board in terms of what he's done and will do. He's kind of a dick, actually, but his heart's in the right place.

Zamorak, as you've heard, is strength through chaos and personal strife. It's no "the strong over the weak" or "the strong take care of the weak", it's flat-out "everyone is strong, and just need the right circumstances to tap into it to be the best they can possibly be". Now, his philosophy is kind of more for warriors and scholars, but if you tilt your head, it applies to everyone. Chronically ill folks will find their chaos in fighting to get up every day and maintain a life. Folks in traumatizing, abusive situations find that chaos in their very survival. Scholars challenge themselves and their fellows and their predecessors trying to find the answers they so need. Nobody in lockstep, no such thing as "we've always done it this way."

A lot of human Zamorakians and Saradominist propaganda says that Zamorak is simply absolute evil: and to be fair, when most of that was written, he kinda was because he was based loosely on the Christian devil. Later writing says that they're typically mistaken on that. Zamorak isn't evil. The very first thing he did upon becoming a god was fulfill a promise and lead a slave rebeliion. (The Avernic uprising, if anyone's curious.) He stands for the downtrodden and says "You are never going to get your dignity by going through the motions and trying to peacefully show you're worth respect. Burn some shit down and prove that you won't stand for this bullshit."

Zamorak in a Saradominist's eyes is someone whose banner you wear when you want to be a crazy murderer. Zamorak in a Zamorakian's eyes is the singing voice who murmurs "Get up, this isn't enough to kill you, you can still do this," when transphobic laws get passed or you hear a slur thrown your way on the street.

And as someone who grew up queer and nonhuman, yeah, that resonates, and the older I get the more I think "Guthixian philosophy is best for a society at large, but Zamorakianism for individuals is good." Because Zamorakianism can't really apply on a theocratic level. It really doesn't. It turns into American bootstrap culture and no social services and all that shitty stuff.

The funny thing is that Zamorak himself has no issues helping out if he thinks you need it. (If he didn't, he wouldn't be cool with asking for help, or giving it when he's asked. Which he does do repeatedly so. The man has more kindness in him than people want to admit.) What I do find fascinating is what he thinks of the actions of some of his longtime subordinates, who clearly support him, but I don't think support his actual philosophy. Because if you ask me, he'd side with the downtrodden humans of Meiyerditch, not the vampire lords that treat them like cattle. He's proven that he likes humans, and doesn't see them as unworthy. I do wonder if Jagex will show us what he might do about that.

Either way. Ahem. Over the course of a decade and a half, I keep going back to RuneScape, refining my philosophy and side, thinking again what I would do playing the game proper. About... I want to say five years ago, Jagex opened up the Sixth Age and I finally noticed, and they rewrote every god's philosophy because they wanted every single one to be actually playable. Not just "hurr durr evil" but actually have a logical line of thought. They probably didn't have pop culture paganism in mind, but the gods of RS are incredibly well-suited to it.

Well, I found that out, and immediately went through every god's philosophy, and reasoned my way through it. What does a worshipper of this god look like? What sort of life would they lead? If i apply this to me, what does that look like from that perspective? Do I understand this? Is it comfortable to exist in?

And as it turns out, I understand Zamorak the most, followed a close second by Armadyl, which was quite surprising. Zaros remains incomprehensible and I don't trust like that. (That's another story.) So I thought about it more, and it stuck even when I wandered off to different fandoms and interests. But what happened was that I ended up internalizing it, unknowingly and without meaning to.

It meant that when, two years later, I ended up in a horrific and traumatizing situation, the anchor I hit that held me together was a mixture of being a Devil - I am a fucking God you will obey me and recognize my power - and Zamorak's core philosophy: this cannot kill me, this cannot stop me, this is pure fucking hell and I am going to laugh in the face of death because people are forged in hellfire and I will walk away knowing what I'm made of.

And I was right. Honestly, out of everyone who was there with me, I think I'm the only one that was that deeply entrenched and walked out without trauma. I do not believe I could have done that had I not internalized Zamorak's philosophy. (That isn't to say if the others had that philosophy they wouldn't be traumatized, because there were absolutely other factors I wouldn't know about and some that I do and didn't do them any favours; but I am saying that it saved my ass and without it, I might not have been okay.)

I walked out of that with zero regrets. Zero. Even now, I don't regret a thing. Because it doesn't matter what happened or how much I was lied to or if he deserved my kindness. I know what I perceived to be happening, and I know how I reacted, and when the pieces were down I was stronger than steel, gave kindness without considering the cost, and I walked away unscathed.

How many people can say they've looked death in the eye and laughed? More than there should be, not too many that knowing what I'm capable of when put into pure chaos isn't somehow impressive. Because it is. And Zamorak's words proved themselves, or rather, I proved him entirely correct.

And when I last went back to RuneScape, and thought about it with enough time to put it all into hindsight, well. Aw, shit, he was right. Then vaguely around that time I went back and read Dawn, which was unfinished, tracked down the author and demanded to know how it fucking ended. (She told me and we're still friends like three years later. xD) Then I went back and found my old OCs, and decided fuck it, I'm making my own World Guardian.

So first thing I did was log in and jump over to the Makeover Mage and make myself into a boy. Kept the plateskirt though, I wanted to have the RS equivalent of a limp wrist to prove I'm Very Queer. Then I went about remaking my character. I wanted to make a self-insert, I was old enough to know it wasn't cringey, it was just fun, but I didn't want to use my default avatar with the black hair over one eye and the Chaorruption. I wanted to make a new self-insert based in nothing I was already using.

So I made the most beautiful man I could! Long, dark brown hair, pretty semi-dark skin, looked Kharidian, and then I said fuck it and made him Zamorak's youngest son. Originally, he was adopted when he was young by Iban and Clivet, and suffered serious imposter syndrome when being WG meant he'd never get demigod powers. But as I grew more confident in myself, he ended up getting powers? And then eventually I rewrote his backstory, and then wrote about his mother, and her relationship with Zamorak, and then he had friends like Blaire and Icthlarin (who was also my furry awakening, rip me).

Then with the most recently questline I've been getting a bit more into RS magical theory, and I've been mulling it over lots, and Seanan McGuire's Middlegame definitely helped; and I figured out how I wanted him to handle being World Guardian: it didn't make sense for him to be openly Zamorak's son, the other gods would just target his family to manipulate him. So I had him play neutral openly and Zamorakian to his friends, effectively living a double life.

Then he just looked up one day and said "Oh, by the way, my father won't acknowledge me to keep me safe but I don't know that so we have a very unsteady relationship because I don't know if he loves me", and then Children of Mah came out, and he was all "Oh and I think I just got disowned (I didn't, Zamorak was protecting me, but I don't know that) so my relationship with Zamorak is Fucking Shitty" and he was stuck that way until I figured out how to save their relationship.

It culminated in Sabe not knowing how his Mahjarrat powers worked and guessing, and hating himself for being half-and-half, and missing everything about being a Mahjarrat, and literally you couldn't have gotten more obvious in order to tell me I was having Fucking Issues coming to terms with the fact I didn't have any understanding or knowledge of my own heritage, but whatever, eventually I noticed that.

And as I've been working to understand myself and my heritage, so too has Sabe been doing that with his Mahjarrat heritage. But for the longest time, no matter how I put him and Zamorak in the same room in a scene to try and get them to talk it out, it wasn't working. Something wasn't right. Sabe resented being World Guardian, hated having to betray his family, didn't know if he was wanted, and hated himself for having to kill Mah, the mother of his species.

Not that long ago, a few months actually, he informed me (which is my shorthand for 'I suddenly figured out this happened, and it genuinely feels like remembering that one fucking word you have on the tip of your tongue, I always knew and just forgot for a while') that no, he'd been ripped in two by a hope devourer, brought to his father's stronghold, and Zamorak split his magic between mortal and divine in order to get around his godproofing and heal him. Zamorak's intense worry for his youngest son was what caused Sabe to break down and tell him honestly what was going on and how he was feeling, which caused Zamorak to do the same, and they finally, finally made up.

A week later, I noticed the connection between Sabe's Mahjarrat issues and my Irish issues, and started to wonder if he was a linktype.

I mean... he's a self-insert. He makes the choices I would, the me in the here and now, that I think are best. He's not a person I was and still know myself to be, he's not someone I grow into, he's not living his life beside me like a shadow. He's me, choosing the things I do, because I say so. But he's also me in the things he reflects, the things he struggles with, and things I had zero fucking conscious input on.

Sabe is the person I am when a crisis hits and I have to deal with the chaos. Sabe is the person I am when I need to lead. Sabe is the person I am when I am desperate to be known and loved by those I consider family. Sabe is the person I am when I want to be sure in where I came from, where I will return to, and the things that I will always be. Sabe is a man of darkness who knows the light as an acquaintance and nothing more, who is cruel and careless and kind.

Sabe is a warpriest of Zamorakian philosophy, because it took me twenty fucking years to put into words how I see the world, and now that I know, I will argue them to death and use them to help others. Drakath may have wanted a messiah to share the hivemind with others. Sabe is a warpriest, spreading the word and calling home the broken and the damned. He is the Last Rider, not the last of the Ilujanka but the one who keeps riding towards the chaos and never falls, no matter what.

Some of who Sabe is I have conscious input on. A whole lot of him was unintentional and perfectly reflects me.

So when it comes to terminology... I don't know what he is. A self-insert, yes. A linktype, maybe. A kintype, also maybe. Sabe doesn't feel like my past linktypes, because Sabe isn't always catharsis and comfort. Until he made up with his dad, Sabe was brutal and hurt a lot and constantly yearning for his foundation and slowly going mad. It wasn't fun. I just refused to do anything but see the story through. I was going to get it right. I wanted to see it to the end. I wanted to be the Last Rider, even though I didn't phrase it that way.

But to answer your actual question, of what he feels like when I'm not actively being him out of necessity, desire, and active thought. If it fades into the background.

And like... it can? Sabe as he is, recognized for what and who he is, is kind of a new thing. Sabe as a concept is very old, but Sabe as what he is right now is new, and confusing, and honestly I'm still trying to figure out what to make of it.

Like, seriously. Sabe is Zamorak's son. Am I Zamorak's son? Is he keeping an eye on me as I am? Would he be proud of me? Would he offer his approval of my progress? Does that make me, in some way, the World Guardian?

I have not a clue, buddy. Not a goddamn clue.

So what it means is that I've been paying attention, really. I don't just become strong in times of crisis. I've been trying to do better. Be better. Learn, and listen, and rethink myself. Break out of lockstep, of doing things the way I've always done them. Try to always do better than I did, build habits I like, stop waiting for things to change and just do it. Become the chaos, instead of waiting for it to hit me.

It means I need to live up to what Guthix told Sabe to do. It means being gentler, being kinder, not burning bridges when I'm not sure. It means keeping an eye out for any sign Zamorak's listening, in case I am his son, in case I really have to decide what I'm gonna do about being the son of chaos incarnate.

But other than the questioning, what it feels like is just... what I was already dealing with, just a little more at arm's length and easier to deal with. Once I recognize that his issues are reflective of mine, if I solve his, I have a pretty good idea of how to solve mine. Some of it won't work exactly right - Zamorak will always forgive him for not being the son he expected he might have had, my own parents may not, yay I'm queer and pagan - but it's a good rule of thumb.

It's also just comforting to know that when in doubt, nothing can kill me, because I simply refuse to die. I am World Guardian, I am a demigod of chaos incarnate, all the hellfire in the world can do nothing but strengthen me. And if I present those to myself as unshakeable beliefs, because for Sabe they are, then I'll be okay. It probably couldn't stop most disasters or tragedies, but I got hit by a car, broke five bones, and walked away with a record recovery time, so I mean... I can't prove that I can't die by some accident or tragedy, but you also can't prove that I can. (Trying to do so usually falls under what we call 'murder', and I personally believe I can't be murdered. Only assassinated.)

But really, I think the worst that could possibly happen with a new linktype is that you learn what not to do. It's new, it's scary, it's chaotic, and from where I'm standing, that's the best way to learn.

Actually for me it's pretty weird that the most popular ship in Free! is Makoharu. I mean, they give me like zero romantic vibes, if not Rinharu I would've definitely shipped Sourin. It's the main reason I hated Sousuke when I watched 2nd season for the first time - I saw him as a threat for Rinharu (now I just don't like him that much, but I decided to let Rin has his best friend, lol). Maybe it's just me loving rivals to lovers :)

Well.. for me Free! was never that kind of anime where there are other ships, but honestly after several years of watching anime and lately discovering that people ship Wei Wuxian with Jiang Cheng I kinda lost my faith in people lol And yes, I also truly don’t get those ships, where there are zero romantic vibes, but I got used to seeing this already.

I think I’ve talked about Makoharu only once, I usually don’t do it cause as a ship it’s so illogical to me that I just don’t see the point of wasting time on this lol I feel like it’s gonna be long answer so I’ll split it and after “***” I’ll talk about my bro-rinharu-shipper Sousuke.

I’m not gonna throw a debate if it’s the most popular ship or not, but I just want to say that I don’t think that it's really called shipping Makoto and Haru, since firstly, let’s talk about Makoto as a character (which is the main problem in this whole thing tbh) cause from what I saw the Makoto the MH fandom created has nothing to do with the real Makoto. Like the dude is scared of dogs, ghosts, bees, water and I forgot what else; covers his eyes when he sees anyone even in swim trunks and gets embarrassed easier than a nun (apparently you can’t even unbutton the collar of your freaking jacket!!!!!!!!!!! oh lord!!!!!!); crumbles under everyone in this anime including Hiyori and can’t even talk back. 

And suddenly like half of this fandom thinks that Makoto is a dominant top apparently. We seriously laughed our asses off seeing that, I mean even my mom (who’s a teacher btw). I’m like... I have a sister who’s majored in psychology and I myself in literature (like I seriously promise we ain’t stupid) and we just seriously don’t understand.. In what Tarzan’s ass does he suit this description? Dude can’t even answer properly while being offended. Like maybe they like Makoto’s twin brother? Because real Makoto does not have any dangerous dark side, seriously, this ain’t “8 dogs of the east” lmao.

I appreciate their friendship at times, but I never was a fan of him, because I don’t really like people who treat everyone equally (friends and strangers) and think that some asshole deserves as much love as the closest friend. I just don’t understand this life position and don’t like those “world peace” guys anyway. I mean, that fish died moment in the books was when my brain died honestly. Like I get it, dude is sensitive, but... seriously?

And for me being kind is not really a personality. I mean, hell, sometimes it’s no good to be kind. There is a fine line between being kind and being a mop you know.

And sometimes his behavior is really cringy to me. Like during the funeral and during Haru passing out in the book and during many things that are very serious. I just don’t think he’s the person you can rely on at times. I mean at first I thought he’s a steady shoulder, but somehow in all serious situations he doesn’t do anything useful.

Like I might be in the minority here, but to me when you know very well that you panic in the ocean you don’t go there trying to save somebody, it’s not brave, it’s just plain stupid (like it’s not like the tent was far, it was fucking next to him, all he had to do is wake up a pro) so by the end we had to rescue two instead of one, just because he’s dumb af.

He also panics a lot which I really hate on people. I’m sorry but like panicking ppl are the only worst. It reminds me of one of my life situation when my sister was badly hurt and we needed to keep our heads cool to act quickly and do what was necessary asap. And I’ve seen ppl behave like Makoto in situations like this and man it’s seriously no fun, it’s annoying. Like when you need to help somebody and someone panics beside you it pisses you off. And he does it even in little things like when he yelled Haru in the ear while driving JUST BECAUSE A CAR IN FRONT OF THEM BRAKED I mean omfg I would seriously yell “shut the fuck up, you pussy!”

And it all honestly keeps getting worse and worse like the way he’s written, his behavior just buffles me so much. Makoto in s3 just murdered me tbh. Like he didn’t help with anything, he didn’t bring anything to the plot, you can just erase him, he only sat there anyways. And the way they pulled his “dream” out of his ass was just a second-hand embarrassment tbh. And he’s not even Haru’s emotional support anymore. He’s just... I don’t get it. There were literally scenes where he was third-wheeling or just forced into that looked laughable. 

Which brings me to the second point. From what I saw many of Makoharu fans are mostly Makoto fans, so they just want what’s good for him, and since he has no life goals whatsoever (like after he dropped his “I dream of making children like swimming” thingy like a hot potato and was like “training children.. but look at Rin and Haru” I really lost my last marbles watching him) they apparently don’t care for what Haru’s dream is and that he said openly that he wants a future with Rin.

Like I get that everyone has their tastes, but like what.. two people who are crazy about each other since twelve and blossomed a dream of having a future together and the thought of being with each other got them through and they finally have what they wanted.. this is not a trend anymore? Mutual romantic love is not a trend anymore? Like I even without novelization can see that (and I quote Rin word for word here) that “every time he sees Haru his heart beats so fast he can’t calm down” and quote “Haru sees Rin and he’s shaking, he closes his eyes desperately trying get rid of the image, but the pain in his chest doesn’t go away”.

I am personally very happy that Rinharu are finally together and will be doing what they wanted in their life by each other’s side, cause they’ve been dreaming about it for too long, they’ve been thinking about it for  years. So not wanting them to have that is very weird for me. And the argument that Makoto somehow better than Rin for Haru is so invalid, I always laugh. I guess it depends on what you want for yourself. But honestly like you guys better find someone who make you want to reach for the stars and make you heart skip a bit everytime you see him.

So I as a huge fan of Haru want my boy to fly and now I have all the canon proof for those who were blind that Rin is the only one (been said) who makes him feel that way. So all those anons who kept writing to me how relay with Sosuke, with Rei and what baffled me the most swimming with Ikuya was just as emotional for them can finally shut it (lmao I’m sorry).

Now... Sousuke, my bro, the first Rinharu shipper on the village who helped them to get together is a threat? Okay. Well, I actually like s2, there are some dumb episodes but s2 actually to me showed how rinharu relationships are different from anyone else. There are literally two whole episodes and several scenes of how the bROMANCE prevails over BROmance.

Sousuke and Rin have typical brothers relationship. From their secret handshakes “parent trap” style to the fact that they draw them exactly the same with his real brother. I mean I don’t know if anyone noticed, but in 3x11 they drew Sousuke doing the exact same teasing move with Rin, that his older brother did to him in 3x01, and it’s definitely not a coincidence. Which means he treats him like his little bro, and not just that. I have lots of proof.

You know, I had a friend back at university who had an older brother who she was very close with and she kept telling me about how he kept testing her boyfriends if they’re good enough... I mean Sousuke was doing it with Haru since Rin has told him that he has found his one and only. And it never ever looked like he was possessive of Rin and was like “he’s mine”, it was always like “he’s yours so make sure you make him happy you loser”, he even stalked Haru to see if he still swims alright which is really funny (like okay dad), so by the end of the season when Rin lovingly looks at Haru and says it was all worth it, Sousuke looks very content like he was sure that they’re all good now.

And that moment like in Yakusoku where Rin dropped Sousuke as soon as he saw Haru, I honestly don’t think it’s the kind of jealousy people think it is. It’s like if I asked my sister “do u want to see the new avengers movie” and she’d answer “sorry, I already promised to go with my boyfriend” (not that this would ever happen, but let’s imagine that she found herself her nanase) I would be fucking upset too, but I would kinda get it (if it’s a love of her life I mean). Or like literally imagine you lived with your best friend for years and suddenly she wants to move in with he boo. I mean it happens sometimes. But it’s not the jealousy really, he’s just sad because he knows that he needs to let Rin go and he won’t spend as much time with him as he did before. Sousuke knows how much Rin loves Haru, plus after he saw that Haru is as good as Rin told him, he started to like him himself so he was worried about both of them. 

And I love Sousuke, he’s our godmother. I’d rather have him on the international team than Ikuya but he sadly he doesn’t swim breaststroke or back and we only have one butterfly and one freestyle spot xD

I’m sincerely saying as a person with two siblings that I really don’t see it. It’s just there’s a huge difference between brothers and lovers. And you can’t call Harurin bros. It’s just laughable. Even if you haven’t read anything and just watched the anime.

I mean I think it’s easier to see if you try to imagine Haru in Sousuke’s place in any Sourin scene and see how it would’ve went then. Like do you remember when Sousuke asked for cola and Rin went to get one and there was only one can left so they rock-paper-scissored it and Rin won and drank it?

Now imagine if Haru was there in Sousuke’s place. I can tell you 100% that Rin would’ve just given him the can. And then he would’ve looked at him with that face he makes when he’s content just by watching Haru eat, you know.

I mean it just how I see it. And there are a lot of comparable scenes in s2 that bring me lots of evil joy, but I won’t tell lmao.

But as I said before to me there’s a huge difference between bromances and bromances. So I mostly don’t get most of these ships. I don’t understand anything in this world apparently lol but I only see Rinharu since the first time I’ve watched it, and then I’ve read everything and realized that I’m right, so I’m ok with all this xD

Got a Clown. He starts a Chase with me. I get hit before stunning him with a pallet. He throws a bottle at me and then breaks the pallet, but because I have a Challenge to Blind a Killer 5 times, I went for it despite being in a cloud of pink smoke and my vision being wonky! And I backed up while doing it, which got me behind a tree trunk just as the Blind notification popped up! I didn’t have Iron Will this match either and he ended up circling the area while I carefully used the fact that I blended into the wall, to slowly crouch away. And a Feng Min witnessed the whole thing and was teabagging madly as I was heading for her!

“Soul Guard needs to be nerfed!” You mean the Perk that requires you to be left in the dying state(slugged) for more than 30 seconds, before you can get any kind of value out of its main ability? You mean the Perk that requires you to personally be cursed by a Hex if you want to get value out of its second ability? You mean the Perk that is so unreliable because the chances of using it in a single day’s worth of matches are at most, 5%? Yes. That obviously is far too powerful and way more powerful than Unbreakable.

Why is it when I’m aiming to do a Challenge I can never get it, but doing the requirements of a specific Challenge is easy when I haven’t equipped that particular Challenge!

1.) Get tunneled by Leatherface for the remaining 4 Gens. 2.) Never get hit at all. 3.) Stun him with every fucking pallet on the map. 4.) Finally get downed because of NO-ED. Yes, a Leatherface with NO-ED. 5.) Get face-camped to shit because he’s salty. 6.) Somehow get rescued and get Borrowed Time to save my ass. 7.) Get the Killer to rage-quit before anyone can actually get to the Exit.

Got the same afk trapper 2 matches in a row! I touched the butt both times! XD

Why does everybody and their brother want to play Ghost Face today! Ugh!

The following clips are from a match that only became buggy after the Nea started Healing me. We were a minute in, I was being Chased but managed to get him to go after a Claudette instead. I saw Nea. She excitedly waved me over for a Heal. And then this shit started happening. Not even Sloppy Butcher would make a Heal take that long. And it lasted longer than this clip.

So as you can see, this is a fucking mess. I don’t think it was the Killer cuz when Killers are hacking, it’s for their own benefit and nothing abuot this was beneficial. 

The game did suddenly end. I was pushed all the way out and had to wait to load back in to the main screen. I did not lose my Med-Kit, Offering, nor did I de-pip. I don’t really know what happened tbh. It was a weird experience.

Who knew this would be my first MHA and IzuOcha fic! XD I’m saying that becuz I have a fic in the making, along with an IzuOcha idea that’ll continue it. Both are gonna reference to Lion King! This one is unrelated to all of that tho! I was pressured to do this based off of a tiny thing I did in the IzuOcha HC channel! Sunsets are nice. The coolness it brings, washing away the summer heat. It’s wonderful colors blanketing the sky in red, pink, orange, and so much more. Ochako could stay right here for hours, especially since her special someone is standing besides her enjoying the sun go down. She couldn’t ask for more.

“What are you thinking about, Sunshine?” Nicknames, did she love them. It wasn’t anything new to their relationship; it’s been something they pick up even before being a couple. The nicknames just seemed to get a bit more...cheesier, in her opinion. In all honesty, she never understood it. Not the use of nicknames, but confused about the ones he chose to gift upon her. Why call her Sunshine? It would make more sense to her if he were upheld with the cherished name.

She turned from the colorful sky that continued to send shade, covering them in darkness with -soon to come- twinkling stars. Her clothed back rest against the balcony rail, her hum vibrating it a bit. “Just wondering...” she smiled to herself, her thoughts still lingering. The name just fit him more. Besides, he was the reason she woke up every day. The light in her life that just never seemed to dissipate. He was a beacon of hope to everyone, not just to her. She had her moments where she felt selfish, wanting him to herself. She knew. Ochako knew that he was for everyone. Not just for her. She’d cherish the part of him that she does have. The part of him only she gets to see. He’s Deku, and that’s all that matters. At least, that’s all that should matter. Why? Why couldn’t that be enough. He was enough. More than enough, in fact! Maybe it was her? Was she enough? No! She shouldn’t think like that, she knew he loved her. She knew she was enough for him. Yet...the back of her mind will forever linger with that toxic thought, “He deserves better”.

Shaking her head, she snapped back into the present. There he was, looking at her with those emerald, worried, irises. She jumped on her toes, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly, “Ah, sorry! Kinda zoned out there for a minute.” The boy blinked, staggering back a bit. She noted how his body was now facing the same direction as hers.

Before he could put his worry into words, she clambered on, fiddling with her fingers, “Can I ask you a question?” He took attention, nodding with that determined smile of his. Gosh was he a dork, couldn’t hide that worry in his eyes for the best of him. Ochako rolled her body to the side, facing the one she felt like she didn’t deserve. Gosh were his eyes capturing. The girl sucked in a breath, her eyes shut, levitating on her question and how she was going to ask without it sounding strange.

“Um, this may sound weird but,” A nervous giggle slipped past her lips. Her fingers toyed with the strands of her hair, eyes averted to the ground. Fighting back a blush would be hopeless now. “Izuku,” saying his name so freely always left her tingling inside. “Why is my nickname, Sunshine?” She flailed her hands, her heart pounding. Couples would be lying if they said relationships get easier in time, “Ah- I mean, why am I the sun?” She covered her face, “I’m sorry if it’s a strange question, I’ve just never understood it.”

Izuku’s confused face washed away, a smile springing into action. He started to chuckle a little, only causing her to hide more. Clearing his throat, he moved to her, his hands gently grasping around her wrist, guiding them down, “N-No it’s okay! Sorry for laughing, it’s just- Well...” he coughed as he felt a blush of his own seeping onto his freckled features. Trying his best to brush off his latest thoughts, a smile found its way back to his lips.

“Ochako, please look at me.” He’d be lying if he said he didn’t let a few laughs lips past his lips. She just looked so cute; he couldn’t help it. Her cheeks puffed in announce, rosy, yet flourishing more than usual. After a bit, the girl let out a breath, giving in.

“That’s better.” He perked up, trying his best not to drown within those chocolate brown eyes of hers. “The reason behind that nickname I gave you...” maybe having her eyes on him, wasn’t such a good idea. He mustered all the courage he could find, “Your so bright, sometimes it’s even hard for me to look at you.” That was a mood within this very moment, his eyes engulfing hers, and she did the same to his. The confidence he had seconds prior all but left him. He shrunk, his voice getting smaller, “Not to mention that my life revolves around you.” Now he knew how she felt.

Ochako squeaked, hiding her face once more, Izuku following suit. Even though she’d never fully understand it, she understood that he surly felt the same as her. She just hoped he knew he was enough.

The couple stood there, allowing the cool air to calm their burning cheeks. Which thankfully subsided not too long after the stars floated above their heads, moonlight coloring the both of them.

Ochako was the first to break, laughter filling in the quiet, and thick air, around them. The hero besides her lowered his hands, a laugh bubbly out of him as well. Gosh they were a mess.

Wiping a tear from her eye, her giggles fading, not minding their closeness, “Then... I guess that means you’re my world, Deku?” She beamed, both her fist landing in front of her stomach, between them.

Izuku’s face scrunched up, “So bright!”

“Ah, Deku! Your face is doing that thing, again!” Ochako screeched, leaning forward, her hands attempting to poke at his face.

Her boyfriend’s head shot up, his scarred arm laying over his eyes, “Sorry!” He squeaked out, stuttering on his next few words, “Y-You’re just so bright.”

She scoffed, nudging his shoulder. Peaking from under his arm, a warm smile danced on his lips. He loved how she couldn’t contain a frown for long. As if on cue, a giggle broke free, her laugh lighting up his world. To both their surprise, a snort snuck in between her giggles. This only caused her to laugh more, Izuku joining not long after. His chuckling didn’t last unlike hers. Just a glance, and he was drowning in her. Caught in her effective trance; he never wanted to escape. The boy’s breath was taken away. He couldn’t help but think of how lucky he was as he continued to watch on, breathless. Her hair bounced along with each giggle she blessed his ears with. The moon light absorbed them within its beauty and peacefulness. A true gift.

Maybe they were already enough. All they knew was that the one before them was worth more than the stars above them. Actually, they weren’t even close to that. Love didn’t have a cost, because...it’s priceless.

We put a bunch of cc ideas (hair and clothes) in a discord server we have together and then work on the stuff together on call usually so each item is the way we both want me. Like for example i’ll be meshing the Ivy top while he works on texturing the ribbed version.  We also only do collabs when they happen, we didn’t plan AxA 2019 or this new set, mainly just made cc starting in May and wrapped it up in July to release in August. Then this time we started making stuff late December and got most of it done by the time I got done with my break. Having a planned collab/deadline makes stuff less stressful and the stuff usually turns out better imo

omg noooo ;n; yeah Litten is a cutie... incineroar is... well I got used to him tbh and kind of like him now? I absolutely hate scorbunny’s evolution (and most of the SWSH starters final evolution) so I think that made incineroar slightly better in my eyes. I really really wanted to have all my 2019 hairs updated by 2020. It was only January 2019-April 2019 that needed updated (thumbnails and display indexes). But I just lost motivation for doing it. this is a late as hell reply i’m sorry. I think that you have texture where the glasses texture would be. Hair texture should only be in hair section or hat section (if you don’t want it hat compatible). Here is a UV map layout that I use for making hair textures. It shouldnt have anything to do with weights

I do use reshade when I take cc previews. It adds a bit of saturation to my sims and gives them some shadows under their chin/clothes. Nothing major. Also, myself and @imvikai came up with the tropical punch palette together.
